第31轮西甲联赛，皇马客场1-0战胜阿拉维斯。比赛第38分钟，姆巴佩在拼抢时蹬踏对方球员布兰科的小腿，经过VAR回放后姆巴佩被直接红牌罚下。
赛后姆巴佩去对方更衣室向布兰科道歉，双方看起来非常友好。布兰科表示：“这的确是一次强硬的铲球，我已经和姆巴佩谈过了，他已经为此道歉。没有问题，这种事都是在足球比赛中可能发生的。”
