根据此前相关报道，太阳希望在6月26号的选秀大会之前将KD交易搞定。名记奥康纳补充表示，在当地时间7月1日之前，森林狼都是超过了第二土豪线的球队，因此，他们不能在一笔交易中同时送出多个球员。
“这样的交易是极其难做的，在太阳现在这么着急的情况下，我不知道森林狼要怎么样才能做成这笔交易。”奥康纳说。
NBA劳资协议规定，球队薪金超过第二土豪线之后将受到更加严厉的限制——不能在交易中聚合多个合同、不能在交易中送出现金、不能使用前些年的交易特例等等等等。
